First of Many

Once upon a time, there was a girl, her name was Colbie. She, she is actually the one writing this post. And this girl, she got accepted to go on a summer project with Cru to, wait for it, wait for it..... The Dominican Republic!!! This journey was brought about by none other than her knight in shining armor, the man who is her armor, Jesus.

Now, it all begins. I know that the trip is in May, but really the journey has already begun, and I want to share this amazing experience with the world. Which is why I started this blog. I've had another blog before, and I lost motivation to write, pathetic, I know. But now, I can't wait to challenge myself like the Lord has challenged me. I want this blog to be an honest and open way of communication with me, and whoever decides to take the time and read this. I hope that's more than my last blog, considering I know the Lord is going to teach me plenty. I have no idea what He will teach me, but I'm willing, and I'm following.

My first challenge that Lord has faced me with is the challenge of raising support. So far, I've raised $20. But hey, that's $20 more than I had before. Raising support so far isn't so bad. But I just sent out my letters about a week ago. The hardest part about this is that I'm not in control. But, that's also the easiest part. I know that makes no sense and I completely contradict myself, but really. It's hard, and kind of discouraging thinking about raising $3,900 of support alone, but, I'm not alone. See, this is God's journey that He started it in me, and He is going to meet my needs, because it is by His will that I am even going to the DR. (Oh ya by the way the DR is the Dominican Republic). So by His will, I am confident that He will provide.

This is just the beginning, and the first of many posts of what I'm going through with the Lord by my side. This is just the first of many posts of my excitement, and spazzy scatter brained topics. This is just the first of many posts about support raising, and the first of many posts about my journey with Jesus.

Until next time,
