If He's Not Worth Trusting, No One Is.

So, I joined this bible study mid-semester, and it's in the book of Ruth. Ruth is faced with difficult hardships, like the loss of her husband, but keeps persevering. God had a plan for Ruth in these hardships, just like he has a plan for everyone else's. Everyone is like Ruth in some way or another, sure not all of us are widowed or forced to live with our mother in law, but we all have our equivalents. We're all faced with some sort of struggle in our walks but unlike Ruth, not all of us who struggle choose to seek God. So far this study has truly amazed me! Did you know that Ruth is in the same family line as Jesus? Kind of cool!! Well see, to be in that family line, she would have had to met Boaz, the man that she marries, and to have met Boaz, she would have to of gone through every trial, including gleaning the fields where she met Boaz. See, God had a plan for Ruth. A plan that she had no control over, she just obeyed her Heavenly Father.

I feel like I can totally relate to Ruth. Okay, so noooo I’m not Ruth, and I haven’t had to deal with the trials that she faced, but I am facing one right now. Deciphering God’s plan for my life. The same trial that Ruth, and many others have faced. Have you ever tried to listen to God? It’s kinda hard, cause He’s kinda that shy kid in the back of the class that has a lot to say, but wants to wait for you to figure it out on your own. But then once you do figure it out, it’s like “OHHHHHH!!!” Anyways, tangent. So Ruth was faced with so many trials, and yet she continued to pursue God. She wasn’t upset or annoyed, she just pursued Him, and His will. His will lead her to the field where she met Boaz, who became her husband. God’s plan is kind of a very, really, hard thing to figure out. It’s not like he has a huge neon sign with an arrow saying “DO THIS,” but there is one thing that makes it a little easier, Him. He knows, so trusting in Him should be the only thing we do to figure out His plan. He knows where He wants you, when He wants you there.

So, that is what I’ve decided to do. Be like Ruth, and trust. I mean really, that’s all I can do. I don’t know why I’m being taken where I am, but He does. So I’m going to rejoice in the fact that the God of the UNIVERSE has a plan for my life. If He’s not worth trusting, then no one is.
